The Tale of the Drama of the Sea

One day a lobster named Bill came across a fish named Rose. The soon become friends and visited each other often, until one day Bill found out that the baby Rose was carrying was not his! He tried to confront her about it but she would deny it every time. A week later a puffer-fish named Roberto, came up to Bill and said, " Stay away from my woman you bohemith!" In response Bill said, "She is my wife, and so she is my property." But like the current the word got around to Rose that Bill said she was his, "property" and she went balistic. First she went and slashed the throat of Roberto, then she consumated with Bill. Bill soon found out about Roberto and Rose was sent to court. The judge aka the swordfish, and the jury came to the conclusion that Rose is not guilty. THis may hve been the jury taking pity on a pregnant helpless woman, who was just a little moody with the stress of pregnancy. But thi meant that Rose would have to deal with the suffering and guilt hr whole life.

The House of the Scorpion
Nancy Farmer

This is such an interesting book, because it is about this boy named Matt who lives in the future and is the clone of a man named El Patron. This is an extremely rich man who grows opium in Azaltlan which is essentially Mexico. Matt used to live in a small house with his guardian Celia, but later escaped through braking a window of the house (since they were all locked). Then he cut open his hands and feet and was brought to the main house that El Patron lives in. But once it is discovered that h is a clon he is taken to a tniy room with a bed and a matress with no sheets. Then the bed is removed and replaced with chicken litter. This is very sad because after all he is still a human. In this society the clones are looked down upon.... Once El Patron know what has become of his clone Matt, he makes friends with him and has him live in a room in the "Big House." Matt gets his own body-guard and a teacher who soons gives up on him. Therfore he starts to learn off of the t.v. Then Matt is caught by his bodyguard playing the piano and is given a teacher who is deaf because no other will teach a clone. When Matt has done well he is not rewarded but instead when he is bad he is scolded. Matt becoms very good at piano and succeeds in all of his classes.

How I Live Now
By:Meg Rosoff
pg. 92.-171

I changed my mind about Daisy because...
at first she seemed really shy, dependent, lonely, just depressed and anorexic, but not that she is in the middle of a war and starving she actually wants to eat and is trying to keep Piper alive. Now she is really living for something and she is very brave and self-less. I like her better this way except for the fact that she is starving. She found Edmond as a way to not be so lonely and depressed. She still depends on Piper, but they have to depend on each other for survival. Under different circumstances I think that she would be gaining weight and be independent but still care for her loved ones. I think she would be better if Edmond were still with her, but it was a little disturbing since he is her cousin. But they love each other so I can understand that much, but still but not the fact that he is family. I am definitely starting to really respect and like her character.

My Summer Vacation

This summer I went to San Diego and Austin. I spent some of my time at the pool, and with friends. I went shopping quite often and got clothes for school.
